i know im seeing this late and im not sure if u ever found your fix, but the issue is within the config file of alexs caves. if you open "alexscaves-client.toml" (which is just loosely in the config folder btw) and change "biome_ambient_light_coloring" from true to false, it will fix the issue with DH.
