Just in case this comes up for anyone else you need to add --tweakClass cpw.mods.fml.common.launcher.FMLTweaker to the program args -

Seems to be with the 1.6.2.jar failing it's md5 check -

I've had the same issue with the latest forge as well. The recommended version works but is missing the launcher class for some reason. Trying the other versions inbetween -
You need to use the Launcher class as the main method now not Start class. Afaik it's needed to proxy the new minecraft loader
