  2. Hello, I tried to make my first mod on Minecraft version 1.20.1 so it's safe to say I'm a newbie. I'm stuck on this problem and can't find a solution. I'm also usually working with AI to point me in the right direction but this time it doesn't help. Basically, I made an item, a modified version of a totem, and this item works perfectly but then I wanted to add a custom model and texture so that I can place this said item on the ground like a block. Everything seems to work except for the render of the block. It never shows the proper model or texture and I'm stuck with the black and purple block. I've triple checked the texture (correct folder and format) and model (made from Blockbench on the correct setting). My blockstate file also seems to be correct. So it's probably my code but at this point I don't really know where to look for. I'm looking for tips or pointers to guide me in the right direction, thanks
