  1. Hello. As a project I developed a embedded XMPP chat server as a Forge mod for Minecraft. This will allow users with any XMPP client to connect to a minecraft server and chat with players, or for two unconnected players to chat as any normal XMPP server allows. Please see the attachment and readme file inside for more further details. Note that this requires opening a additional port for XMPP traffic, again refer to the readme for more details. Any chat client which supports XMPP should function with this mod. I personally prefer Psi for Windows and jTalk for android; I cannot recommend a iOS app as I am not a Apple consumer, but I am sure that they exist. Please feel free to provide any feedback on this mod. At some point when I am not busy with other projects I may add additional functionality. Let me know of any features that would be interesting. One thing I have in mind is to build blocks which can receive XMPP packets and toggle redstone signals, and the reverse (something like a redstone signal sending a XMPP packet to a user).
