    "error could not find or load main class..."

    I've downloaded the latest version of the forge installer but every time I try to run it, it just shows this output window that says "error could not find or load main class C:\Users\User\Desktop\minecraftforge-installer-1.6.4-9.11.1.923.jar". I've tried looking around but came up with nothing. I'm also running windows 8. any help would be much appreciated!

    Can't run forge installer on windows 8?

    I right-click the forge installer.jar, go to open with and select java, but the only thing that happens is this console output window that only comes up for like half a second and then nothing else. The installer doesn't run and I have the latest version of java too. Anyone know what I have to do?
