    Well i like to use minecraft forge universal. An i was talking about the old mod installation when you needed to open minecraft.jar.

    It is because installer is java TM platform file. If it doesn't open when you double click right click it choose open with and then choose java TM platform NOTE not every java file will open with java TM platform. Once i tried to open minecraft.jar and it kept just loading loading and loading until i moved the .jar file and placed it back. Sorry If i made a misstake in text. English is not my valid language.

    There is three problems. 1. you installed forge wrong. 2. or you put in the startup.bat wrong text. 3. or you didn't rename the server file to craftbukkit.jar/minecraftserver.jar
