that is not true IT WORKS

I know that exists. and I used that box to type in the directory I wanted. The problem is forge doesn't want to work that way. It only wants to use the .minecraft directory.

what is the path to the directory??

minecraft and forge load the libraries from .minecraft

The path for that profile is C:\Users\Tony\Desktop\YouTube\Minecraft Directory

So, my question is, using forge, can I only use .minecraft, or can I use and folder on my computer?

I'm using the normal launcher, but I'm trying to make it so that all the files can be put in a different folder. As in for a specific profile, instead of looking in the .minecraft folder, it would look in a folder on my desktop. This worked fine without forge, but with forge it just doesn't work.

Hey, It's Droid. I installed forge successfully, and I was able to install it using the installer and the normal minecraft launcher. I quit the game to install some new mods, and I came back, logged in and such, and got this:
