    Forge installer 1.6.4 not working

    Badgyr posted a topic in Support & Bug Reports
    So I've been trying to install forge, by following the instructions thrown out there of opening the forge installer with java. I do this, and a command prompt screen opens for a split second and then closes. Then nothing happens. I've tried looking around, and aside from general hostility toward anyone who asks any questions regarding this, all I see is suggestions of reinstalling java. Is that the only option, and if so, are there any instructions for manually installing it instead? I haven't found anything by searching that isn't geared toward versions prior to 1.6.2.
