  1. Greetings. I downloaded Forge 9.11.1.965, the recommended version for 1.6.4, and I've run into an issue when running the installer. First, I unzipped the zip folder and dropped the .\forge\ file onto my desktop. Then, I ran the install.bat file. After running it a few times and manually downloading all the libraries it couldn't download automatically, any time I ran it again I got the following in my console: ================ Forge ModLoader Setup Start =================== MCP Detected already, not downloading Setting up MCP Patching commands.py patching file commands.py Commands patch applied successfully Copying FML conf Creating Repackaged data Creating re-packaged srg Creating re-packaged exc Creating re-packaged MCP patches Downloading 42 libraries Backing up client Backing up server Gathering assets list from http://resources.download.minecraft.net Error gathering asset list: IOError('socket error', SSLError(8, '_ssl.c:504: EOF occurred in violation of protocol')) Decompile Exception: 1 Press any key to continue . . . The last four lines are the exception I cannot figure out. I tried looking it up on these forums and on Google and came up with nothing helpful. I tried doing this with my anti-virus turned off, but the same exception came up. Is there a fix to this? Is there another installation step I skipped? Everything I listed above is what I did; nothing more, nothing less.
