For the records I have updated to the latest 1.7.2 forge release before doing this. I did disable my firewall ( and the firewall of my antivirus program) but that did nothing. Also with that logs folder did mean that there should be a log folder in the 1.7.2-forgexxxxxx folder? Because there arent any logs in there. Any other suggestions that might help?

So after updating to the latest 1.7.2 forge build I cant seem to connect to any server. Trying to connect to a server doesnt crash the client but it just hangs on the connecting screen. If I try to load a Singleplayer world it simply hangs and then gives me a crash report. I read that I need to include the forgemodloader-client-0 log in this but I find it weird that that log didnt log anything while running the latest 1.7.2 build. The last thing that log showed was of the recommended build for 1.6.4 that I ran before running 1.7.2. For the record no mods were in the mods folder when I tried loading up 1.7.2. It was a clean install through the installer and I made sure that the jars of the 1.6.4 version were gone. Here is the forge mod loader log but like I said earlier it only seems to contain logs from the 1.6.4 version and it didnt log anything of from the 1.7.2 version Here the crash report log that the minecraft launcher gave me after the 1.7.2 build crashed: The same crashes happened with earlier versions that were made for 1.7.2. I hope someone could help me with this.
