  1. Ah, ok. I see that now. Mousing over the stuff at the top has different subsets (1.6.x), IF there are different subsets available (1.6.1, 1.6.2, etc). (You can tell it's been a REALLY long time since I updated...) Thanks.
  2. Thanks, but that wasn't the question. I already know that, as evidenced by the download(s) being "1.8".
  3. I'm trying to update my Minecraft client to 1.8.8 after years and years of playing 1.7.2 with Forge, Optifine, and a half-dozen other mods. So I'm looking at something like this: http://s25.postimg.org/ycpifhnmz/forge_downloads.jpg[/img] How do I tell which version of Minecraft all of those are for? As far as I can tell, the only ("recommended") download is for "1.8" and does not work with "Optifine 1.8.8". (A HUGE error is thrown, and Minecraft doesn't launch.)
  4. Where did you find a 1.8.8 download? All I seem to see is "1.8", which will not worth with "1.8.8 Optifine" (HUGE error gets thrown, and Minecraft doesn't launch.)
  5. A couple guys from the Minecraft forums said this is Forge-related. (Is a server that's running 55 plugins still "vanilla"?) Any idea how I can get rid of this thing?
  6. I installed "Minions 1.7.2" (properly; I know what I'm doing) and decided I did not like it. I deleted the 2 mod files that were required to be placed in the /mods/ folder, and the 2 files in the /config/ folder (1 placed, 1 created by playing the game). And now I get the same type of error message. I unsummoned the minions. I threw the "Master's" (whatever) into lava, so it's gone. I picked up the chest the Minions were supposed to put their mined materials into. I regenerated (with mcedit) the (2) chunks that the minions failed to put a mineshaft between. There's now no visible sign in-game that they were ever there. How do I fix this error message? Solution: Edit the profile to use a default version of Minecraft. (I used 1.7.2 and it fixed my world save. The world save loaded just fine in Minecraft 1.7.2, and when I switched back to my mod'd profile, everything was back to normal.)
