I've started playing Minecraft recently and I run into this issue. The first google search sent me straight here but I see that this topic is a year old so I was wondering if someone found a workaround for this. I found the issue in the issue tracker: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-78 Will post a link back to here from there. This is a very good analisys of the problem. Thanks for the explanation.
