How to I find those files?

Hello, I would like some help with creating a furnace like block that use's a redstone signal instead of fuel. Please, I would appreciate help as I would like to get the mod done by the end of the week. Thank you for all of your support and it means a lot to me. I am basically asking for a block container that makes one item into another when a redstone signal is applied. Finally as I am a new modder I will probably need an in-depth tutorial if that is not to much to ask for. Also if you know anything about tree generation be sure to check my other topic about custom tree generation. (I really appreciated the speed in which someone answered!
