  1. Okay, perhaps this will be more helpful. Seed is: S Location of that block is -86, 56
  2. My video is flawed? I'm placing the blocks on the same exact tree from the same exact location. I even made sure the black targeting cube around the block went away on both videos before placing one pixel inside the targeting range... Well within my range? Umm... What? I realized after posting that that a new seed would have a different Y coordinate, so my assertion wasn't necessarily true.
  3. I understand now - in the EAQ it said to use spoiler tags NOT hidden tags and then the spoiler tag changed to a hidden box... So I got sort of confused. Anyway, I made two videos showing how block placement acts differently with forge enabled and disabled. If this is caused because the server and client disagree, then forge is causing them to disagree somehow, because the base client does not have this problem. The "desync" is not present at all locations, but it is always present at the same coordinates within a world. However, creating a new world with a new seed will change the locations at which the bug occurs. (or so it seems) I just updated to 1206 to make these videos. Thanks for helping me clarify the issue. [bug] With Forge [bug] Without Forge The videos are unlisted. I'll remove them at your request.
  4. I used the spoiler tag like the EAQ said because pastebin wouldn't accept the log. Your forum software must have converted it to hidden. Edit 2: I changed the log to a Gist. https://gist.github.com/anonymous/7a9f16fb902e039323e2
  5. There's a bug where placing any block in the world just inside the max click radius will cause the block to vanish and then sometimes reappear in your inventory. I originally thought it was a bug from another mod, but it still occurs if only forge is installed with no other mods. Uninstalling forge causes this bug to stop happening. It still happens in the latest forge version, 1199. Please note that this occurs with Java 1.7 as well, I just updated Java and didn't want to downgrade again. Anyway, my log folder doesn't match the EAQ about which file to post from the logs folder, so I'll just post the log instance where Forge was the only mod installed:
