[Redownloading after installation]

Hello,

 

I am trying to use Forge with my MC 1.4.6.

 

Whenever I copy the content of the "forge-1.4.6-6.5.0.489-universal.zip" into ~/.minecraft/versions/1.4.6/1.4.6.jar, my launcher is always downloading 1.4.6 again (well, it says "downloading 1.4.6.jar" briefly),

Forge is not installed and no additional folders are getting created in my ~/.minecraft.

 

I am using the newest Ubuntu. Does anyone have a clue how to solve this problem?

 

PS: Yeah the readme says to install everything into the .minecraft.jar but this file doesn't exist. Just the 1.4.6.jar in .minecraft/versions

Same error with older JDK7 and an other minecraft_server.jar (1.2.5)

I get the error message on the forge/install batch so i think its a forge problem

 

I have to use the old version because Minecraft 1.2.5 isnt upwards compatible.
