  1. I figured it was something silly like that. I had tried double clicking the forge jar file before, and nothing happened. It was probably a stuck java process. I closed out all java processes and now it seems to be working. Thank you for your replies, and your hard work. I really appreciate it.

  3. I just edited my post, you replied too fast for me! When I run the minecraft_server1.7.10.jar that the installer downloaded, it starts up just fine but doesn't have forge. Is there an additional step that i missed? Am I running the wrong file?

I have been trying to install forge (server version) and there are errors in the install: all i can see are some 403 errors from minecraft.net However, the installer comes back and says everything went ok and forge is installed.... But when I run minecraft_server.1.7.10.jar it starts up the server, without forge. What am I doing wrong??
