    Do you tell the client anywhere you spawned it, because from what I can see is your only spawning it on the server ans the server isn't responsible for rendering.

    The reason it is lagging is not because on the .obj model, it's because you are loading the model every time that you render the block, load the model in the constructor not the renderTileEntityAt(...) method
