May you recommend a good source for figuring this out? Like a video or website? I've looked but I want to have more resources and maybe even some personal preferences about this before I start doing anything.

I heard there was a way to bring old mods back up to use for the newer versions of Minecraft using Forge. It's probably going to be complicated but I'm willing to spend months on trying to learn whatever is needed to bring up some of the deceased mods again. Can someone around here point me in the right direction? Links are appreciated.
