    Need Help installing Forge itself!!

    So whenever I get the installer for Forge and I would press install a message would pop up saying "You need to run version 1.8 manually at least once".. Yeah I did do that. I opened up minecraft and tried again. Same thing a message pops up saying "You need to run version 1.8 manually at least once" So i tried running a different version and it always says the same thing no more what version it was! I need help because this message really bugs me and its preventing me from having Forge! What do I do? How do I fix it!
