I am trying to run forge-1.7.10-10.13.2.1230-installer-win on my new Windows 8 PC so my kids can play Pixelmon. I keep getting the error message " You need to run the version 1.7.10 manually at least once". To the best of my ability, I have run the Minecraft Version 1.7.10 dozens of times and I still get this message. I have watched at least 4 different tutorials and followed the instructions to the letter each time but I still get the error. I am sure that there is something simple that is amiss but I cannot find the problem. (I successfully installed forge and Pixelmon on my last Windows 8 PC without any of these issues.)
