Forgive my ignorance, but are bungeecord and spigotmc a part of forge?

I installed the 1.8 Beta with the installer and initially ran minecraft with the following: -Forge 11.14.0.1281 -Optifine 1.8.0_HD_U_B5 -InventoryTweaks-1.59-dev-161 -liteloader-installer-1.8.0-00-SNAPSHOT -HeroMod (liteloader mod) -mod_macros_0.11.1_beta2_mc1.8 (liteloader mod) I ran these mods fine on Singleplayer, but when i attempted to connect to server "hc.to", i came up with this error. Connections Lost Internal Exception: ionetty.handler.timeout.ReadTimeoutException Troubleshooting attempts were: -removal of InventoryTweaks -removal of Optifine -removal of Liteloader and litemod files -removal of forge 11.14.0.1281 I was able to connect to the server with no issues when i removed forge and InventoryTweaks (dependent on Forge) and ran Minecraft with only Liteloader (mods) and Optifine.
