    dataDir on a network device LAN

    I have been poking around using the --dataDir option to relocate the minecraft saves and user data only on my little LAN server. But i ran into an issue i have seen only a few times with a couple of other games, in that they simply slow to crawl whilst accessing/reading their data from a network share. (company of heroes was one) Is anyone using this sort of setup ?. The server gets backed up etc. And for the zealots who will not be able to resist piping up with WHY blah blah blah . I would just like to know if anyone knows about this or has this setup themselves and Thanks for the amazing job with forge etc ps colored captcha's are bastards for the color challenged Edit minecraft 1.7.10 and forge-1.7.10-10.13.2.1291 <sigh> hope no more dumb captcha questions
