    Found it. Did some sleuthing. Apparently if your profile name is not the same as your user account, it won't find it. Weird.

    That's what I thought... I'm also on Win7 using PC. So weird.

    I just installed the 'javaless' minecraft launcher (as recommended by the game itself). I decided to get Forge and install the client, but I get the "directory is missing launcher profile" error message and I am not able to find it where FORGE thinks it is. Any ideas in how to install the client? I'm using Forge 11.14.0 for Minecraft 1.8.
