  1. i put in the "latest" that being 1.8.1 though same c7 at the end and now it wont bother bringing up the game at all there is no more recent version of optifine 1.8 other than the c7 update and no matter what version of forge I use whether it be the .41 or .39 or even the recommended .34 version it still does not work. if you have a copy of the optifine version that does work and will allow minecraft to actually come up, forge is broken.
  2. after I got forge to finally install I ran into a new problem I set up minecraft to run the version forge 1.8 in its latest version of .41 only problem is after I hit play the game doesn't come up at all. thinking its just a buggy latest version that has a few kinks I installed the recommended and minecraft came up but after the Mojang screen when it was about to put up minecraft it crashed. the recommended version was the 1.8 .34 version. it came back with a lang error for some model of a block render/ bakery I'll leave a crash report at the bottom of this but the only things I have installed are optifine in its latest version for 1.8 and two resource packs the 1.8 version of conquest and the music addon resource pack hymns of conquest. other than that theres nothing else fancy other than what mojang supplies in my .minecraft folder. heres the crash report I get after the mojang screen: Description: Initializing game java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: net.minecraft.client.renderer.block.model.FaceBakery.makeBakedQuad(Ljavax/vecmath/Vector3f;Ljavax/vecmath/Vector3f;Lnet/minecraft/client/renderer/block/model/BlockPartFace;Lnet/minecraft/client/renderer/texture/TextureAtlasSprite;Lnet/minecraft/util/EnumFacing;Lnet/minecraftforge/client/model/ITransformation;Lnet/minecraft/client/renderer/block/model/BlockPartRotation;ZZ)Lnet/minecraft/client/renderer/block/model/BakedQuad; 3. I had everything configured I actually found a solution online where if I save the installer to somewhere like my desktop then I right click and hit open with and pick java se binary it opens right up idk why but that's what works.
  4. typically I have had no problem with installing forge but recently I've run into a problem. I get the notification while using the installer win.exe that it get the l4j error telling me that the java runtime environment does not exist or is corrupted. I have reinstalled minecraft and java in its latest version and have checked with my cmd to make sure its installed. I have run the versions of minecraft that I am trying to install forge for manually if not once but several times and have installed forge before on 1.7.2 with no problem. I had installed forge for 1.7.10 before using the version 1.7.10-10.13.1.1225 installer and have even used the .1277 installer as well. recently I tried installing the latest installer for forge 1.8 but this did not work and came up with the same error. I also got the same error when trying to install the latest version of the 1.7.10 installer which has already been installed using the old .1225 installer I mentioned earlier. I don't know why it cant find the path with the ones from the site but with the ones I had downloaded previously it worked. if anyone can help me and set up some step by step instructions on how to go about fixing this that would be great
