I am very new to Minecraft modding, working on trying to explore some ideas on structure generation. I got Eclipse set up, been messing around with some test code, exploring the decompiled Minecraft, and was looking at the Galacticraft source so far. I am looking for some guidance on altering current and creating new structures in the game, possibly looking for some minimal example code. As well I want to ask, since I want just to modify structure generation could I put it on a server and the clients not need to have the mod because the server is generating the terrain? If not what I am using now, forge, is there any other thing I can use like a bukkit plugin or something else I can use to have a server side structure generation mod?
