no.. i downloaded the .jar thingy and then i said 'install client'

I have minecraft 8.1 on my macbook, and i have forge installed. i got the 'mods' folder in library/application support/minecraft. now when i download any mod and paste it in the 'mods' folder and launch minecraft, it shows that minecraft has launched, then it crashes. then after i delete the pasted mod from the 'mods' folder the game is back on! I have installed one mod and that is Toomanyitems. That suddenly started working after trying a lot of times. i have carefully seen that all mods i install are compatible with 8.1.
