    Optifine 1.8.7 on Forge

    Hello, I am new to modding so please forgive me if my question sounds stupid. I want to know if I can make Optifine HD 1.8.7 compatible with Forge. I know that forge 1.8 won't support 1.8.7 mods.. but since 1.8.7 has just security fixes shouldn't it work with Optifine 1.8.7 without any problems?
