  1. Yeeeep, I'm a noob. That was it. Thank you kindly. May this thread stand as a warning to future noobs, that they may avoid embarrassing themselves as I just did.
  2. Hello, let me just start by saying I am not a computer savvy person, so it's likely I've just done something stupid and don't know how to identify, much less fix it. I'd really appreciate any help with this. My problem started when I installed the mod Et Futurum to my Minecraft 1.7.10 build, which I've used with no problems for months with other mods. This is the one that's meant to add in a lot of the cool stuff from 1.8 to 1.7. When I launched the game, I got an error that it required a later version of Forge. So I went here (http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php?topic=31017.0) and got the one it needed, downloaded it, ran the installer, no problem. Ever since then, when I load Minecraft in my Forge profile, it just takes me straight to a vanilla install. No indication of Forge or any mods on the system. I have removed Forge, re-downloaded and re-installed it twice now, and there is no change. Updating Forge seems to have basically made it invisible to Minecraft and now I can't use any mods at all. I have looked for similar problems via Google, and everything I found that came up were A) not the same issue and B) from at least two years ago. It seems I've discovered a new way of wrecking the game, lol. Since it's been a while since I installed Forge in the first place (again, I'm not very computer savvy), I looked up the most detailed instructions I could find, both here and elsewhere, to make sure I was doing it right, and I find no problem. The current version really is very simple, you just run the installer. If there's another step I missed I found no record of it. Here (http://pastebin.com/wqJbHU8s) is the fml-client-latest.log, which I don't understand enough Java to interpret meaningfully, but I don't think it's very helpful. It looks like a log of the last time Forge actually loaded, which had the problem of it needing an update, and that's not the problem I've got now. It just won't load at all anymore and doesn't seem to leave logs of that. Please tell me I've just done something dumb and I can fix it in a few steps? Thanks in advance for any advice.
