    Damn, I wasn't selecting a forge version for my profile. Appreciate the help guys.

    I have installed forge several times for Minecraft 1.8, but it won't create the mod folder. I tried manually creating it but it didn't work. I downloaded Minecraft 1.8.9 originally, but have been running my profile on 1.8. No matter what I can't get the mod folder to create.
