Hi,
I'm trying to install the Forge server on a Windows 10 pc but am running into problems.
I'm using forge-1.8.9-11.15.0.1719-universal.
If I run the vanilla Minecraft server it appears to work ok and a Minecraft user can connect to the generated world.
If I run the Forge server the user can't connect. There is one error that I can see in the server log and this is it:
[main/ERROR] [FML/]: FML appears to be missing any signature data. This is not a good thing
This is the command I use:
java -Xms1024M -Xmx2048M -jar forge-1.8.9-11.15.0.1719-universal.jar -d64
I have a feeling that maybe the initial installation has not gone correctly. I have repeated the installation several times with the same results. The install log shows some Java Exceptions. This is one example:
java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 403 for URL: https://libraries.minecraft.net/net/minecraft/launchwrapper/1.12/launchwrapper-1.12.jar.pack.xz
I've basically run out of ideas as to how to fix this, does anyone have any idea as to what I am doing wrong?
Thanks
Max

Ok, I had another go at seting this up with this version:
forge-1.8.9-11.15.1.1722-installer-win.exe
I can now get this to work although I still get the error above. I guess I don't have to worry about that error unless it causes a problem, likewise the various Java Exceptions that get logged during installation.
Thanks,
Max
