    Wow yeaaa, I guess that makes sense. Thanks mate, this entire thing has me angry after like 2 hours of searching.

    So I made a new Windows Accounts on my computer for my little sister to play Minecraft on when I'm not around and she said she wanted mods and 1.7.10 Forge worked for me on my account so I tried it for hers and it says it installed successfully but when I try to find it in the drop down menu in the launcher it's not there. However, when I install the 1.8.9 version, there is no issue. I thought this problem would be more common but unfortunately Google has been of no help, so here I am.
