    Cannot install 1.7.10 version of forge but Can install 1.8.9 version

    As the title says, I am unable to install forge for MC 1.7.10. I am using the windows installer and it opens the installer, the path to the game is correct, I chose to install client, and it shows the progress bar and says the installation is complete. However when I open the MC launcher, the new profile is not there. I've run 1.7.10 before so if the issue is that it needs something to install on, well its got it. Also I was successful in installing forge for MC 1.8.9 using the same method (Win Installer, correct path, have previously run, etc) and the new profile shows up in the launcher. Has anyone else had this issue/ have a solution to this? I would like to install forge for 1.7 just because so many mods have not been updated yet. Any and all help appreciated.
