  1. Is there anything else that might cause this besides a firewall or antivirus?
  2. It doesn't seem to be, the installer has no other issues except this.
  3. I spent a good chunk of time downloading and re-downloading the file for 1.8 and each and every time I've gotten an error report. It wasn't always the same, though, the first error read about me missing eleven or thirteen different files because it couldn't download them (for whatever reason). But after the second or third try it said I was only missing one file. org.scala-lang:scala-library:2.10.2, org.scala-lang:scala-compiler:2.11.2 I read through the EAQ in an attempt to find a solution and came across the bitbucket link, I followed directions, downloaded it and extracted it's files into my .minecraft folder, but this didn't do anything to help. I was able to see the org.scala-lang folder and the file inside but further attempts at re-downloading the Forge 1.8 file only met with more of the same error These libraries failed to download. Try again. org.scala-lang:scala-library:2.10.2, org.scala-lang:scala-compiler:2.10.2 At this point I have no idea what to do, I don't know if I'm missing something or if I goofed somewhere, but I'm at a loss.
