  1. done. downloaded the file here and opened it in net beans. worked perfectly. http://www.minecraftforge.net/wiki/NetBeans
  2. I've narrowed down the problem to a mistake that's happening during net beans set up. When I use the startclient.bat in mcp it runs fine.
  3. I havent been puting any files in the jar directly. ive been running the install.cmd. I thought that was all I had to do. I extract the mcp zip into a folder named mcp. then I put my minecraft bin and resources folders from .minecraft in the jars folder. I add the server jar into the jars folder. then I extract the forge zip which puts a folder named forge in between the eclipse and jars folder. I then run the install.cmd in the forge folder. after that has finished I follow this tutorial for setting up mcp in net beans http://mcp.ocean-labs.de/index.php/Setting_up_NetBeans. once I've done that I press run. It gives me that error then I start messing with stuff, moving files around, creating packages, etc... eventually once I feel like I've screwed up my mcp forge installation beyond repair, I repeat from step 1 to give my self a fresh install. After trying this for a while I've decided to ask for help.
  4. I've been trying to set up mcp with forge for the first time. I've done numerous fresh downloads and installs. Every time I run it in eclipse it gives me this fatal error. I found the file tis looking for but I'm not sure where its supposed to be. I'm using build 341.
