  1. How would I go about making a block that disappears if it is near a torch sort of like leaves when it is no longer next to a log.
  2. I have been working on a mod and I just updated to 1.11 and for some reason I can no longer see the models or blockstate json files. I used to be able to follow default minecraft blockstates and models for reference. But now if I try to open acacia_bark.json for example, I get an error "Problem opening editor for 'acacia_bark.json': 'System editor can only open file base resources". This could just be an error for my IDE but if anyone knows the solution that would be awesome. This is only happening with minecraft json files, I can see all other code.
  3. Here is a picture of what I am talking about, http://imgur.com/AsIXAlf. They are showing up in the world and have a spawn egg, so I think it has to do with how its rendering.

  5. I have been working on updating a crops mod and I made a squash which is similar to melons and pumpkin in the way that it is a stem crop. It works perfectly except my stem is not rendering property. I am not a very good at texturing so I just copied the pumpkin stem textures and and renamed them for my squash plant. They original pumpkin stem textures are gray scale because they change on the biome you are in and the first stage of my squash crop it grows and shows the texture but in gray scale as soon as the squash appears the texture doesn't work. Here is a picture to describe it better. I have tried the blockstates, block models and double checked all the names for the crop I was wondering if there was any reason they aren't working or something extra i have to do because they are gray scale.
