  1. After looking through errors other people had with Minecraft related to a "jani*****.dll" file, I disabled sharing for that Temp folder. This seems to have fixed the issue. Good luck to anyone else who encounters this sort of problem.
  2. I deleted most of the contents of my .minecraft folder and restarted the launcher to download the necessary game files in order to do a fresh install. After successfully starting the vanilla minecraft 1.8.9, I reinstalled Forge using the windows installer. I get a crash to the launcher, but it's not generating a logs/fml-{client/server}-latest.log file.(forge crash log) This is the error inside the minecraft launcher Game Output tab: Launcher log Exception: I don't understand what I could be doing wrong with a fresh install of the game and only using the Forge installer after that (with no mods in coremods & mods folders). Based on the fact that the issue ONLY happens when I try to run Forge (with no mods) and not when I run vanilla minecraft, by default this makes the crash a problem with forge.
  3. Sorry, I misunderstood. Here is the proper log file: After looking that one over, it looks like Forge may be reading mods that are for 1.8 that I don't mean for it to be loading. My coremods and mods folders are empty, and I can't figure out what directory to check in order to get rid of the offending mods.
  4. Hello, I'm new to these forums. I am trying to run Minecraft Forge for MC version 1.8.9 - Minecraft runs fine when I run it by itself. Whenever I try to run it with Forge it crashes to the launcher. This is the latest.txt log that I get: I can provide additional info, I know the rules say not to post logs from minecraft itself, so I haven't done so.
