  1. It worked. Thank you kindly for your help.
  2. Ohhhh, I was typing it in wrong. Thank you. I'll check this out shortly and let you know how it works.
  3. When I put it into the address bar it instead tries to search online for it. Do I put the whole thing, or just a portion? Do I need to change the % signs or anything else?
  4. That makes sense. Where exactly is --workDir %ProgramData%\.minecraft on my computer then? I cannot seem to find it. And which installer needs to be pointed there? The forge one, complete with all the mods I want?
  5. I have done that. When I run minecraft through the normal executable, it sees forge perfectly fine. The trouble comes when I have to create the shortcut to bypass the previously mentioned issue with the ! in my user name. When I run minecraft through the shortcut, it no longer sees forge. I attempted to create a new user on my computer and run it through there, but that still did not fix the issue, so I have to run minecraft through the shortcut, and that's where I encounter the problem.
  6. I am having this same issue. I do not get any error reports, but when I attempt to load the forge profile, it does not have forge available in the drop-down list for the profiles themselves. I think it has something to do with my java issue. I have to use this: http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/special-characters/ as a workaround, because my computer user name was created with an exclamation point in it, and that causes Java to freak out. When I use the regular minecraft.exe I can see the Forge selection just fine, it is only when I use the shortcut with that workaround in it that I can no longer see it. Is there any way I can specify the workaround to ignore the Java issue and find the forge profile?
