oh WOW I'm dumb. I saw the option for the other forge version in edit profile now, thanks so much for the help diesieben07! again sorry about needing to be lead through this to get it right. after checking the log with a few other mod version type stuff its working perfectly so Thank you again!

you're right I checked my minecraft launcher, I had downloaded that newer version (...0.1957) and Used the .exe installer but it still comes up in my minecraft client as 0.1909 or something how do I get rid of the previous version of forge so I can install the correct one?

so it has to be specifically [Forge@[12.17.0.1936,)]? ill try to find it and use that and update this if it works.
