  1. Alright, so I did find a ton of texture errors, so I'll post one of them here (also sorry about the 1.10, I'm just making this mod for a pack with some outdated mods in it) Exception loading model for variant dm:light_essence#inventory, normal location exception: net.minecraftforge.client.model.ModelLoaderRegistry$LoaderException: Exception loading model dm:item/light_essence with loader VanillaLoader.INSTANCE, skipping at net.minecraftforge.client.model.ModelLoaderRegistry.getModel(ModelLoaderRegistry.java:153) ~[ModelLoaderRegistry.class:?] at net.minecraftforge.client.model.ModelLoader.func_177590_d(ModelLoader.java:328) ~[ModelLoader.class:?] at net.minecraft.client.renderer.block.model.ModelBakery.func_177577_b(ModelBakery.java:170) ~[byo.class:?] at net.minecraftforge.client.model.ModelLoader.func_177570_a(ModelLoader.java:148) ~[ModelLoader.class:?] at net.minecraft.client.renderer.block.model.ModelManager.func_110549_a(ModelManager.java:28) [byp.class:?] at net.minecraft.client.resources.SimpleReloadableResourceManager.func_110542_a(SimpleReloadableResourceManager.java:122) [bxi.class:?] at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.func_71384_a(Minecraft.java:499) [bcx.class:?] at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.func_99999_d(Minecraft.java:351) [bcx.class:?] at net.minecraft.client.main.Main.main(SourceFile:124) [Main.class:?] at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) ~[?:1.8.0_51] at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:62) ~[?:1.8.0_51] at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) ~[?:1.8.0_51] at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:497) ~[?:1.8.0_51] at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.launch(Launch.java:135) [launchwrapper-1.12.jar:?] at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.main(Launch.java:28) [launchwrapper-1.12.jar:?] Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: dm:models/item/light_essence.json at net.minecraft.client.resources.FallbackResourceManager.func_110536_a(FallbackResourceManager.java:68) ~[bww.class:?] at net.minecraft.client.resources.SimpleReloadableResourceManager.func_110536_a(SimpleReloadableResourceManager.java:65) ~[bxi.class:?] at net.minecraft.client.renderer.block.model.ModelBakery.func_177594_c(ModelBakery.java:311) ~[byo.class:?] at net.minecraftforge.client.model.ModelLoader.access$1100(ModelLoader.java:118) ~[ModelLoader.class:?] at net.minecraftforge.client.model.ModelLoader$VanillaLoader.loadModel(ModelLoader.java:879) ~[ModelLoader$VanillaLoader.class:?] at net.minecraftforge.client.model.ModelLoaderRegistry.getModel(ModelLoaderRegistry.java:149) ~[ModelLoaderRegistry.class:?] ... 14 more [17:31:51] [Client thread/ERROR]: Exception loading model for variant dm:light_essence#inventory, blockstate location exception: net.minecraftforge.client.model.ModelLoaderRegistry$LoaderException: Exception loading model dm:light_essence#inventory with loader VariantLoader.INSTANCE, skipping at net.minecraftforge.client.model.ModelLoaderRegistry.getModel(ModelLoaderRegistry.java:153) ~[ModelLoaderRegistry.class:?] at net.minecraftforge.client.model.ModelLoader.func_177590_d(ModelLoader.java:336) ~[ModelLoader.class:?] at net.minecraft.client.renderer.block.model.ModelBakery.func_177577_b(ModelBakery.java:170) ~[byo.class:?] at net.minecraftforge.client.model.ModelLoader.func_177570_a(ModelLoader.java:148) ~[ModelLoader.class:?] at net.minecraft.client.renderer.block.model.ModelManager.func_110549_a(ModelManager.java:28) [byp.class:?] at net.minecraft.client.resources.SimpleReloadableResourceManager.func_110542_a(SimpleReloadableResourceManager.java:122) [bxi.class:?] at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.func_71384_a(Minecraft.java:499) [bcx.class:?] at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.func_99999_d(Minecraft.java:351) [bcx.class:?] at net.minecraft.client.main.Main.main(SourceFile:124) [Main.class:?] at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) ~[?:1.8.0_51] at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:62) ~[?:1.8.0_51] at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) ~[?:1.8.0_51] at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:497) ~[?:1.8.0_51] at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.launch(Launch.java:135) [launchwrapper-1.12.jar:?] at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.main(Launch.java:28) [launchwrapper-1.12.jar:?] Caused by: net.minecraft.client.renderer.block.model.ModelBlockDefinition$MissingVariantException at net.minecraft.client.renderer.block.model.ModelBlockDefinition.func_188004_c(ModelBlockDefinition.java:78) ~[bpe.class:?] at net.minecraftforge.client.model.ModelLoader$VariantLoader.loadModel(ModelLoader.java:1195) ~[ModelLoader$VariantLoader.class:?] at net.minecraftforge.client.model.ModelLoaderRegistry.getModel(ModelLoaderRegistry.java:149) ~[ModelLoaderRegistry.class:?] ... 14 more
  2. yeah i checked, thanks for asking though
  3. So I just compiled my mod for 1.10.2, and it works fine, except for the fact that all the textures are missing. All the items have their intended functionality, and even their name, but none have their textures. All file names are lowercase, and the sources jar is included. The forge version matches the one I developed the mod in.
  4. well heh that would explain it. moved it to my main class and it works fine, thanks for the help (sorry i'm so dense lol)
  5. The only other place I think its referenced is the commonproxy (idk if i did this right so the code is also below) https://github.com/Mineqwerty/code/blob/master/CommonProxy.java package mineqwerty.diamines.proxy; import mineqwerty.diamines.reference; import mineqwerty.diamines.tileentity.TileEntityEssenceExtractinator; import mineqwerty.diamines.worldgen.OreGen; import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.registry.GameRegistry; public class CommonProxy { public void init() { GameRegistry.registerWorldGenerator(new OreGen(), 0); } public void registerTileEntities() { GameRegistry.registerTileEntity(TileEntityEssenceExtractinator.class, reference.MODID + ":EssenceExtractinator"); } public void registerRenders() { } }
  6. So Yesterday I had my ore generating just fine. Today I tried adding another block to the list of blocks to generate. They stopped generating. I tried taking it back out and they still didn't work. I don't know if I accidentally messed up something else, but here's my code: package mineqwerty.diamines.worldgen; import java.util.Random; import mineqwerty.diamines.init.ModBlocks; import net.minecraft.util.math.BlockPos; import net.minecraft.world.World; import net.minecraft.world.chunk.IChunkGenerator; import net.minecraft.world.chunk.IChunkProvider; import net.minecraft.world.gen.feature.WorldGenMinable; import net.minecraft.world.gen.feature.WorldGenerator; import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.IWorldGenerator; public class OreGen implements IWorldGenerator{ //World generation private WorldGenerator dark_iron_overworld; private WorldGenerator light_diamond_overworld; private WorldGenerator diamine_overworld; public OreGen() { dark_iron_overworld = new WorldGenMinable(ModBlocks.darkironore.getDefaultState(), 3); light_diamond_overworld = new WorldGenMinable(ModBlocks.lightdiamondore.getDefaultState(), 3); diamine_overworld = new WorldGenMinable(ModBlocks.diamine.getDefaultState(), 8); } private void runGenerator(WorldGenerator generator, World world, Random rand, int chunk_X, int chunk_Z, int chancesToSpawn, int minHeight, int maxHeight) { if (minHeight < 0 || maxHeight > 256 || minHeight > maxHeight) throw new IllegalArgumentException("Illegal Height Arguments for WorldGenerator"); int heightDiff = maxHeight - minHeight + 1; for (int i = 0; i < chancesToSpawn; i ++) { int x = chunk_X * 16 + rand.nextInt(16); int y = minHeight + rand.nextInt(heightDiff); int z = chunk_Z * 16 + rand.nextInt(16); generator.generate(world, rand, new BlockPos(x, y, z)); } } @Override public void generate(Random random, int chunkX, int chunkZ, World world, IChunkGenerator chunkGenerator, IChunkProvider chunkProvider) { switch(world.provider.getDimension()){ case 0: this.runGenerator(dark_iron_overworld, world, random, chunkX, chunkZ, 3, 0, 16); this.runGenerator(light_diamond_overworld, world, random, chunkX, chunkZ, 3, 0, 16); this.runGenerator(diamine_overworld, world, random, chunkX, chunkZ, 3, 0, 16); } } }
  7. Got it all figured out. Thanks!
  8. Look, I'm just a loser who was just introduced to coding. This is most likely very obvious, but I'm just a loser I was trying to give an item a potion effect to you when you use it, but it is not working here is the code in the item class: p.s. i was following a tutorial...
