yes but I got a Gui but it doesn't do anything. I cant figure out how to give it custom recipes.

I am trying to make a simple crafting bench for my recipes. All I need it to do is when I put a block in the left I want it to give another block on the right. Does anyone know where a tutorial of this is or how to do it?
