Oh! I seem to have figured it out. I had to go in and edit the profile to use the latest version. I'll leave this post here in case it helps anyone else, though.

Hi I have just begun playing the current Minecraft game after some time, and have installed Forge (using the instructions in this YouTube video ). Today when I logged in I got notification of an update to the mod, and have downloaded the latest, but can't seem to figure out the installation. I have run the Mod system installer, but when I open Minecraft again, it still says I need an update. Am I doing something wrong? Process: First, I am on a Mac running 10.11.6 Download latest installer file (in this case 1.10.2 - 12.18.1.2049) Make sure Minecraft is not running Open the file and get the Mod system installer window Choose "Install client" Click "Ok" Restart Minecraft Any help is appreciated, thanks!
