Hi I am sorry for posting on this forum but since the issue is addressed here and I have a similar problem as this person I have a question. I have posted my own issue, but I would like to ask here as well. I am trying to disable the loading screen. I have found splash.properties but when I click on it I get the "Windows cannot open this file" error message. I am not sure what is wrong with the file. Please help.

[i am using MC 1.10.2 and Forge 12.18.1.2075. I have not downloaded any mods. Any help would be appreciated. Here is the crash report:
