    Creating 2 more equip slots?

    Hey guys, So im kinda new to modding in minecraft. I have learned the basics creating blocks items etc but i really need to create 2 more equip slots. My goal is to make a hat system that doesnt use a GUI to equip the hats, but that uses items. So those 2 new slots would be pretty much for that. How could i make it? I tried editing ContainerPlayer but nothing happened. I even commented the part where it creates the armor slots and started the game but it still created them so i dont think its doing anything. is there any tutorial i can follow or anyone that can help me?
