Welp, i feel like an idiot now... but thanks anyways !!

I think there might be something wrong with how im downloading it but im not sure.

Both launcher settings are switched off, and the privacy settings are on (I'm fairly sure these are the default settings)

I checked and its still not loading. I've also tried reinstalling forge many times. Nothing seems to be working.

I'm having trouble downloading forge, I managed to download 1.11.2 yesterday, but then found out that it wasn't the correct version for the mod i wanted installed. I got 1.11.2 working for a little while after much struggle. Now I'm trying to download 1.10.2 and it just won't work. It'll get to the installer, and then when i click okay, it'll download and show up both in my .minecraft versions file, and in the launcher, but then I try to load the game, the loading screen looks exactly like the vanilla one and so does the start menu. I'm almost ready to give up but my little brother REALLY wants to play with mods. Can someone please help?
