Fiddadle

My friend has been trying to set up forge 1.7.10 for the last 4 days and we haven't had much luck. Forge without mods gets stuck at stage 2/7 and doesn't move ay further. There is nothing in the log and there are no crash reports. Help would be greatly appreciated although I understand you don't have much to work with. EDIT: I have been using team viewer to see his PC in case anyone was wondering.
