Mods are in mod folder but won’t load onto the game

I have the latest version of forge downloaded and the mod folder exist. When I open Minecraft and click the mods menu it shows gorge, when I open the mods folder it show the mod I’m trying to install (deco craft) but nothing happens when I click on it. Idk if I’m doing this wrong, anyone know how to get the mod to load onto the game when it shows in the mods folder but not the mod menu
