The mod im trying to set up a server for is in 1.10 and am unsure if it wants the forge client and server to be that as well as the Minecraft ver.
That is besides the point, this is ver 1.16.5 - 36.1.0, client and server. The only thing that comes up when I press forgeserver.jar is a log folder, I will provide those if asked.
I have java 8 update 291 (64 bit) and Java SE Development kit 16.0.1 (64 bit).
All I have in my run.bat is..
java -Xmx4096M -Xms4096M -jar forgeserver.jar nogui
PAUSE
I really am at the end of my rope here and I been having this problem for 3 days while looking up, down, left and right for an answer.CmdLog.PNG.3d1d9eef0144cd5240a7a90f61bb7c24.PNG

For anyone with this problem in the future.

I figured it out, it turns out I need to download JDK 8 instead of the latest JDK witch is JDK 16 at the moment. I don't know if any JDK between 8 and the latest will work also, but JDK 8 worked for me. I only downloaded JDK 8 because you need Java 8 (Java 8 can also be called JRE 8 if you happen to be confused with the file download name) with Minecraft and I just thought it need to be 8 too.
