Forge does not render above 1440p when using DSR

Hey all, I have an issue with forge and NVIDIA DSR, hoping someone knows something about this as I can't find anything about it online. I am using DSR to upscale Minecraft to 3840x2160 from 1080p by changing my desktop resolution. If I use a clean vanilla Minecraft it has no issues and the debug info shows the correct resolution whatever I am windowed or fullscreened. However, if I use Minecraft with forge it does not go any higher than 1440p. Does not matter if I am fullscreened or not. If I change the resolution in the video settings of Minecraft the issue is still there. Does anyone know of the potential issue here? I have just forge and Minecraft installed with no mods.
