Java 16 is not yet supported. You should with stick with Java 8 or 11 (the LTS versions) for the time being.

Uninstalled java 16 and replaced it with java 11. still comes up with the same cmd window when i try to launch the server

Post the updated output.

C:\Users\user\Desktop\Minecraft Server>java -Xmx4096M -Xms4096M -jar forgeserver.jar nogui

C:\Users\user\Desktop\Minecraft Server>PAUSE
Press any key to continue . . .

went through the files and deleted everything to do with java 16 and used the uninstall tool and used jarfix to tie all the programs to java 11 but it doesn't seem to work

    • The crash points to moonlight lib - try other builds or make a test without this mod and the mods requiring it
    • Do you have shaders enabled? There is an issue with the mod simpleclouds - remove this mod or disable shaders, if enabled
    • Maybe you need to create file in assets/<modid>/items/<itemname>.json with content like this:   { "model": { "type": "minecraft:model", "model": "modname:item/itemname" } }
