So I have this code:

@SubscribeEvent
    public void onSendMessage(ClientChatEvent event) {
        EntityPlayer player = (EntityPlayer) event.getPlayer();
		...
}

And as you can see I'm using EntityPlayer. That's what I found on a lot of other posts, however I kept running into this error:

error: cannot find symbol
        EntityPlayer player = (EntityPlayer) event.getPlayer();
                                                  ^
  symbol:   method getPlayer()
  location: variable event of type ClientChatEvent

How else should I get the player who sent the message? I'm trying to get the player and send a message to them that's not visible to the rest of the server but them.
